ED 703
Where to start..... I decided to make a storyboard, and just realized today that it is not in the right format (I used slides), so I will need to revisit that. *REVISION: Alright, 20 minutes later, I have figured out a way to make my slides work! In presenter view on Google Slides, I downloaded my slides into powerpoint. From there, I can view all slides on one page! Beats having to scroll through the slides, or having to recreate it using the templates :) Check it out:
I think I have figured out how I want my video to look. I would really like to use the video to draw people into my website. One large dilemma I have is - Is that what our video is supposed to be? A way to draw people into our websites?
I watched some of the example videos, but they were between 3-5 minutes, and we have a minute and a half! So, I'm struggling trying to figure out how to condense my information into that short amount of time. I am thinking about using iMovie, because I think that I can use what I learn about the program in order to help my students use it in class. Although, I have a lot to learn, and a 1 hour tutorial video to watch - so, until next blog!

Design of Capstone Video. Each student will design a video/screencast to communicate the essence of their research and capstone project. I took this straight from the doc called Requirements for Capstone Video. Because we only have 90 seconds it really got me looking for that "essence". For my particular project I looked at the influence of e-readers on struggling readers. I believe the essence to be what the possible outcome will be for other teachers if they choose to pilot e-readers as I did. I'm going to sell it in a commercial type style. I am incredibly overwhelmed by this and it is not coming easy. It is certain to be an amateur production. Good luck to you. :)

I agree!!!! I have looked at requirements, but like Kirstin said, then I can't locate them again, or the requirements change! Thanks Kris for helping me out :)

Erin, it is good to know that everyone is going through the same thing I am. It brings calm into the situation. I am also glad you voiced your concerns, as many were the same as mine, and I am even more glad that members of our team helped.

I think it is awesome that you figured out how to make your slides work to be a story board. Some people would just start over but you were creative and stuck with it. I had the same questions when I was watching the videos and the only thing that I could see really being taken out of there videos was the personal connection. In Martha Martin's she puts her connection before and after her project, which I don't think we really need in ours. For me, I am trying to do a video that will attract people to want to look more at my page so I don't actually show them any tools on how to use technology but show them why it is important. Hope that helps!
