The last two days, I have tried Kahoot quizzes in my classroom. We have learned a bit about gamification in the classroom, and this seemed like an easier place to start :) Right off the bat - success! The students were all engaged, and excited to participate! There was such a buzz in the classroom - and they really celebrated each other. Today, I decided not to do a paper and pencil math assessment, but put the questions into a Kahoot quiz. It was incredible! Now I need to take a look at the results - see how my kiddos did.
How do you use Kahoot in your classroom?

I tried Kahoot for the first time too! Yes, the kids loved it! On the bottom right hand side there was a box with a challenge for teachers. The challenge: have kids create their own Kahoots. This is what I did. I had my students work in pairs. Each student picked 10 questions from the chapter for a total of twenty questions. They played their games against three groups to check their work for errors and make any edits. Then we played as a whole class with the creators of the kahoot directing and controlling the game. It was a great test review and lots of fun. The kids took pride and ownership and did a good job as they knew their friends would see it! I think every teacher should try the challenge. Very engaging and empowering for them to be the teacher for a moment! They could tell I was proud and amazed by their creations!
